Up North – Random Moments

Other than a photo for Friday, today is my last post writing about up north. It was a great time with great people. While the primary reason for this entire trip was to ride fatbikes, we also took time to hike and explore and the beautiful surroundings we were in. It isn’t always just about riding our bikes. In fact, getting off the bike a bit can enrich the experience even further. So today is about the random things that made our trip just a little bit more meaningful and memorable.  Hope you enjoy!

No caption needed. Errin, you are looking good!
The Beaver House in Grand Marais. They take fishing seriously.
Hearty breakfast for a long day of pedaling.
MG's trailside surprise. Pizza is a great wintertime pack food!
Artist's Point in Grand Marais is a must do. We spent a long time here having fun and taking pictures.
Frozen in time.
It was cold and windy and we had lost the sun. Time for pizza at Sven & Ole's.
Ice curtain - We stopped at Gooseberry Falls on the drive back to Minneapolis and explored the frozen falls.

All in all a great week of riding, friends, fun and food. Already planning next year, but I think it may be someplace a bit warmer….Say California on Mukluks in early March!?

  1. Might not have the scratch for a Mukluk, but sign me up for next year. The kiddos will be older and I will be ready for adventure by then.
