Minnesota’s North Shore

It’s Friday and I am stoked it is here. It’s hard to believe how fast these past two weeks have been. Two weeks ago I headed up to MN’s North Shore for a family get away before my work binge called Frostbike. It was a great time in possibly my favorite part of the country.

We planned this trip up a few months ago. When you plan a winter trip, or anything in the winter, here in MN, you really never know what you are going to get. We got sub zero temps and for 1 of the days, high wind. Cold plus wind is a deadly combination.

Yet…I found myself out and about each morning and evening taking pictures. While this wasn’t a dedicated photo trip, I did manage to snap a few good pics.  I would sneak out before anyone was awake and catch the sunrise and then sneak out in the evening to catch the last moments of sun.

I love the MN North Shore. I hope these pictures do it justice and inspire some folks to get out to seek what this treasure has to offer.

My parting shot here is that I also found my new favorite beer from my current #1 craft beer brewery in MN, Bent Paddle Winter IPA.  Whoa this is good.
