Rest stop at north woods shelter
Last night I finally processed all my images from the past week of riding fatbikes with friends in northern MN. You know what, I am mostly disappointed with my pictures. Sure I got a few really good ones, and one so good I don’t know what to do with it. But, honestly, it’s not my best work. I made some mistakes. I struggled with the contrast. For the number of images I took, I should have had more keepers. So…Rather than put some images up that are not quite what I want to share, I’m going to hold off a few days to look at them again. Thanks for understanding.
While it was great riding fatbikes with friends, it sure is great being home. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family this weekend. Hope you all have a great weekend planned.
I’m sure you’re being way too harsh… I saw some shots that looked awfully good on your cameras, so let’s see ’em, brother!!
Don’t worry… The images are burned into my mind. So are the great memories. Thanks again.
Thanks for the comment MG. I’ll be honest, there are a few good ones in there but I am disappointed.
Thanks again for making the trip.
It happens. I’ve had outings where I couldn’t wait to get home and look at the pics, and then I do, and I think, “Jeez, I don’t know if I have even two or three keepers in here!” It’s not all about the pictures, though, and you’ll have plenty of more opportunity to snag some great images, I’m sure. I consider these times to be like writer’s block – even the best author sometimes just can’t get the words to come out.
Thanks Fonk. I agree. As I share some images over the next few days, I’m certain some will say I got some great stuff. I just had a lot of issues. Wrong settings. Shot jpeg not RAW. Missed shots. Cut off parts of heads. It just wasn’t my day. Now that I am over it though I can just simply learn from it.
