For those watching, All-City has worked it’s way into my heart and when I look into my bike arsenal, I find that I now have 3 All-City’s in my quiver. I simply love steel bikes and I love what All-City is doing. (Disclaimer Alert: I also work with All-City).
I started following what A-C was doing with Bandit Cross racing. I found myself at more than one event just having fun and taking pictures. I like the approach of these events, low key, fun, good natured with a healthy dose of competitiveness and I don’t give a shit. I’m stoked to say that quite a bit of my photography from these events was included in the 2014 All-City annual.
Earlier in the month, I shot day one of the All-City Championships. You can see a general photo dump of the entire event here on All-City’s blog. I however, could only shoot the Bandit Cross event and I shot it in a bit different style, 50mm fixed and 85mm fixed. Take a look at some of the results.
I really love shooting these events because of the people and the vibe. Honestly this event, I showed up to shoot the before and after and since I was there, I just as well shoot the event. This first cross event of the year, also got me stoked to shoot cross racing this coming fall. So far I am planning to shoot Cross Vegas, Boulder Cup, MN State CX & Cross Nats in Austin, TX. I, of course will continue to shoot these events and schedule permitting, I am really hoping to make it to Jingle Cross. Honestly, cross can’t come soon enough. Hope to see some of you out there either racing or enjoying the awesome spectacle that we call cyclocross!
