Wildlife Wednesday
We had yet another winter storm yesterday so I took the opportunity to take some back roads on the way to work yesterday. I also grabbed my camera before going to work as I knew I’d pass by my normal spot for eagle shooting. This time I did not find my regular solo bald eagle in the tree I always find him/her. I had accepted the fact that I just might not get something when I found this pair in the tree. I had not seen this pair together prior to today.  You can see they are both young.
The younger brown one flew away and I tried hard to get a different angle on the other young baldy. To no avail though as the tree they were in had so many branches in front of him. I just couldn’t get it. While moving away from the spot the younger brown bald eagle flew back into the scene and landed somewhere is with a great viewpoint. I honestly snapped away almost 500 images on as I watched it through the viewfinder. Yes, I said 500. I just sat and watched as it cleaned itself in the tree. I love the look of these shots because they give you a slightly different viewpoint on eagles. What I mean by that is we always show them as such beautiful and majestic creatures. They are, but they are also a little rough and tumble sometimes. Take a look for yourself.
