Nothing runs like a Deere

I am happy to say that with great effort and support from my wife, that my riding time improved last week.  I got a couple really good rides in. Nothing fast, but consistent with some good power output (Thanks to snow!). I hope to carry that over and get the same in this week. Starting to plan that out now, but it will likely be a similar thing involving a super early morning and MN River Bottoms fatbike ride followed by longer gravel, ice and pavement ride in the early hours of next Saturday morning. This week, I also plan to get a morning or two walking on the treadmill.  I do this simply to get my metabolism going. Wish me luck.

Imaginegnat.com_JD_2While out riding on Saturday, I took a shortish detour on one of my regular routes. I always knew there was a sort of parallel road to my route so I rode over a couple of miles just to find some new views. I am glad I did as it jarred my memory a bit and brought me back to my past on the farm. Seeing that old B-Model John Deere made me remember growing up. Our machinery was more modern than that, but it still had the unmistakable green and yellow. It’s hard for me to not say “nothing runs like a deer” whenever I see one out in the field.

In other news, I have been thinking a lot about my photography, what I want to do with it and what I want to do with this site now that I have a new job and my wife is back at work. The little time we had to manage a hobby business is now gone and I’ve been considering closing the store down. I’ve also considered reaching out to a few of my friends to have a communal photography cycling blog and/or store. Just not sure what to do.  Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

So…Have a great week folks. I think it is going to be a good one.
