Fresh Track

I rode last night and didn’t get to processing images until after 10:00PM. As a result, my final year in review is postponed until hopefully Saturday.  In looking at the pictures from the start of the year to the final 3 months, I must say that I see quite a progression of my skills. As an enthusiast photographer, that is really fun to see and honestly that progression is the biggest thing that keeps me motivated.  It just makes me want to get out there and keep doing what I am doing. Learning and progressing.

But even if I am not quite ready to share the final 3 months of 2012, I am stoked to share this image today for Friday Ride Stoke. I took it last night at sundown. I call it fresh tracks. I got this image exactly how I wanted it. Bike in the right place. The track going through the frame. The bike sort of silhouetted on the river and not lost in any of the shadows of the trees. Just what I wanted.

Hope your Friday is good. I’ve got a great one planned with coffee with my friend Ben, a ride, work and then final prep for the Christmas holiday. Sounds like a pretty darn good day to me.
