Failed Mission
I know it’s supposed to be Friday Ride Stoke and all, but this week didn’t work out as planned. Sort of like the rocket launch above from last Sunday evening. We had some ignition issues and had to abort our launch. Much like today’s Friday Ride Stoke, it was a failed mission. Honestly, I had an image set for today and I decided that I want to go re shoot it before sharing it. I love the shot and the setting, but it isn’t just right. I don’t just want to get a good shot, I want to get a great shot AND memorable shot. Trust me, I am excited about this specific shot and I think the resulting image will be great.
In other news, I finally received my final writing journals in both hard and soft cover. I’ll be taking some images of those and moving them from pre order in the store to in stock! I’ll ship back orders too. Going to be nice to finally get caught up and have all products on hand for quick and easy shipping.
Anyway, I am headed out to hopefully capture an image or two on my commute to work. Have a great day and a great weekend.

Awesome! I love rockets, too bad it didn’t launch, maybe next time
At some point I switched to old fashioned fuse cord, which sounds risky, but you knew when it was lit and you can make it as long as you like. Also, if you put some black powder(muzzle loader stuff) in the top of the engine, you don’t have to worry about rocket recovery. Building them is half the fun anyway.
It is a bad idea to launch said non-recoverable rocket over any campus buildings, or so I heard.
Paul thank you. I told my wife that next time Inwas going to use an old fashioned fuse n they worked every time for me when I was a kid!
Cool! I l loved making these when I was a kid. Been wondering when/if I should introduce my nephew to them. Not sure that my sis will be as stoked as me. Ha!
