Contrast
I often photograph the Minnesota River Valley as a place of beauty and most often try to reflect the the feeling of being out away from society. That is really just a reflection of how I feel when I ride my bicycle. I feel free. What does not come through in my images very often is the fact that I live in the city and the river valley is part of energy and commerce. I snapped the pic last week. My first reaction was what a contrast. It’s a contrast to what I normally shoot and share. The subject matter of nature, wildlife, energy and the man made network is a contrast.
I’ve been up too late the last few days as I have a lot of great stuff going on. This is short as I am off to work shortly so I can leave a bit early to take care of some family matters as well as head out to a Panasonic GH3 camera launch event here in the Twin Cities. I’m told it’s 1 of 3 in the USA and I’m pretty darned excited, both about the event and also the camera. Look for a complete story on the blog either Thursday or Friday of this week.

The best Black Dog has ever looked. Well done, Jason.
